Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with yumiknits.com.  We value every order and want you to be happy with your purchase. While most of our items are eligible for return, please carefully review the conditions below as some products are made to order and have special rules.


1. General Returns

  • Standard products may be returned within 14 calendar days of receipt.

  • Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original condition with all packaging and accessories.

  • Certain products are non-returnable:

    • Perishable goods

    • Intimate items (e.g. underwear)

    • Gift cards

    • Custom handmade products (see below)

    • Digital downloads


2. Custom Handmade Products

Our handmade and custom-made products are created individually for each customer.

  • Once production has started, cancellations and refunds are generally not possible.

  • Returns or exchanges are only accepted if:

    1. You received the wrong item.

    2. The item arrived damaged or unusable.

Evidence Requirement for Claims

To help us resolve any issue quickly and fairly, we kindly ask that you provide an unboxing video when reporting damage or incorrect items.

  • The video should show the unopened package, the shipping label, and the item being unboxed in one take.

  • Please email the video to hello@yumiknits.com within 3 days of delivery.
    ⚠️ While video evidence is strongly recommended, if you cannot provide one, please still contact us—we may request photos or additional details to assist with your claim.


3. Return Process

  1. Contact us at hello@yumiknits.com to request a return address.

  2. Repack the item securely in its original packaging and include proof of purchase.

  3. Return shipping costs:

    • If the return is due to a yumiknits.com error (wrong/damaged item), we will cover the return shipping.

    • If the return is due to a change of mind or customer preference, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.


4. Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund or replacement.

  • Please allow up to 5-30 days for processing, though most refunds are completed sooner.

  • Refunds may take 1–2 billing cycles to appear on your statement depending on your bank or card provider.

  • You will be notified by email once your refund has been issued.


5. EU Customers

As per the EU Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(c), custom handmade products are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period. Refunds for such items are only possible in cases of verified damage or errors.
